PERPLEXED BY LOVE

It all begins
with those creamy white thighs
that opens the door to heaven
or the gates of hell.
You must reach out bare-handed,
forget the rubber gloves.
A leap is all it takes, no safety net below.
Egocentricity makes you colorblind
to the color of love,
and blunts the live words
of an I-thou encounter of one soul to another.
If you’re unable to open your heart
and give more than you get,
your seeds of life
deserves to go down the drain.
